This is beautiful and atmospheric Dar. It is family owned and they make you feel so welcome. Breakfast was massive, beds are comfy, the terrace has a gorgeous view over the medina.

A lovely stay within the Medina. Wonderfully comfortable room and even more welcoming staff team! Fantastic breakfast each morning. This house is simply a work of art and I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Fatima and Reda we're wonderful hosts, helping us with tours and navigation as well as seeing to all the details of our stay.
The property is an absolutely stunning home first built in 1366 and then renovated nearly 600 years later in 1946. The mosaics, woodcarving and historical features of the home are a tribute to the artisianal feel that takes you back in time. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

This hotel is ideal for a solo traveler. The room was very clean, with stable hot water and excellent Wi-Fi. I felt safe with good lighting and CCTV installed in the alleyway. The staff's hospitality was outstanding—they well took care of me, offered a great breakfast, recommended and arranged a wonderful day trip, and even helped me set up the "Maps.me" app with local sightseeing sites. Highly recommended!

Historical touches and big breakfast

Location was great, very quiet and very close to a main street in the Madina and less than 10 minutes from the Blue Gate. The manager was fantastic and sat down and explained everything about Fes and marked our map with all the things to see and gave us some restaurant suggestions and also helped us organise a private car to drive us to Rabat. The Rad is beautiful and felt very safe and secure and our room was very clean and large and the heater worked really well in January. The breakfast was great including pancakes, croissants, jam, honey, fresh juice, tea and coffee, more than you can possibly eat. Great views from the rooftop.

There were absolutely wonderful, informative, and pleasant to talk to. When above and beyond to accommodate my dietary restrictions.

Lovely place in central Fez (where the street Souks markets are) tucked back inside so no noise from the outside.
Fantastic room with comfy high beds and heaps of character.
They do generally treat you like family. Best place i stayed in Morroco and possibly elsewhere in terms of service and hospitality.
Would stay again if visiting Fez again.
Fatima and family staff will sort transfers and other touristy details for you and be good prices (not rip off tourist prices)

Reda and Fatima are terrific hosts, Fatima kindly explained to my taxi driver best mtg point for drop off and then met me and guided me through Medina to Dar.

Reda was great at explaining all the key sites to visit during stay. I had three days at the Dar and it was the highlight of my visit to Morocco. I simply loved The Medina, no where near as touristy as Marrakech, especially in evening after daily tour buses have left.

The breakfasts were delicious and kept me sustained until late afternoon! The Dar is beautiful inside and really is a pleasure to retreat to after the business of the Medina.

We loved everything about our stay. Reda and Fatima made sure that every was was absolutely amazing for our stay. The room was excellent. The bed was especially comfortable. Breakfast was ample.

I would really want to mention about Reda's hospitality. He gave us the lay of the land. Provided us with recommendations and even coordinated with our driver for pickup at the end of our stay.

The best place EVER! Me and my sister were considered as part of the family. The owners are very sweet and they take care of you in every occasions. They gave us help and a lot of good advices. The room was beautiful, the location is wonderful (in Arabian style) and everything is perfectly clean and smell good (cleaning everyday). There is also a beutiful terrace with a stunning view on Fes. The breakfast is awesome, with a lot of morocchin food. I truly recommend this place!

Had a great stay here. Reda met me at one of the gates to the medina to guide me in (it’s tucked away inside the maze of Fez’s medina). Nice and quiet. Clean room with a good breakfast. Reda also organised tours and transport to the station for me at very reasonable prices Nothing was too much trouble. Fez is pretty full-on and it was great as a solo traveller to have some friendly support

We have book for a night stay in this hotel and it was anazing . The stuff were so helpful and friendly asks us for anything we need, the room were clean and comfortable i would like to thank all the stuff there and sure i recommend this hotel in fes as the best and good quality concerning the price as well.

The stunning interior of this riad in the heart of the medina was matched by the warmth and hospitality of our hosts. The tile work and woodwork are like being inside a jewel box. The rooftop terrace has an amazing view of the town and is tranquil and quiet.

The staff were attentive to all details and requests, and very helpful when one if our party was ill.

This beautiful, traditional riad in the center of the Medina is truly breathtaking! The gorgeous tiles, stucco, and woodwork is exceptional. The breakfast and hosting are wonderful. Highly recommend. :)

Unbelievably beautiful riad owned & operated by a young local woman, Fati. She grew up in the city and can give you lots of information of where and what to do. She renovated the place and it's really stunning. The bed was comfortable and if you can get her grandmother to cook a dinner for you, that is really something special. The view from the rooftop is worth being there alone. All around a very memorable stay and I dream of one day returning for a second trip.

Great place in the old town, very nice old style Riad with beautifully decorated walls and ceilings. We had a great welcome and super nice, comfortable rooms. Fatima and her family were super welcoming and helped us with whatever we needed.
We booked a dinner at the Riad - it was the best dinner we had during our trip! The homemade starters (eggplant zaalouk/peppers taktouka and cramilized tomato) and tagines (especialy beef tagine with eggplant stew and beef tagine with prunes) were very fresh and delicious.The breakfast was very tasty too - with fresh Moroccan bread, homemade condiments, Moroccan pancakes, fresh juice, hot coffee and tea!
We are excited from this stay and highly can recommend!

Owner was so kind to us and helped with everything, she even gave me a room although for a family we had 1 room. I do recommend eating there, relaxing view and an amazing Riad. I can not give a bad review about this Riad, it's a must visit place

I think what is special about this cooking class is the wonderful setting: an open, panoramic, spacious terrace above the roofs of the Fez medina (this is where you will cook!). I chose the dishes I like best out of the Moroccan traditional ones: m’semen (flatbread with a filling of your choice, I had it with Jben cheese), harira, a wonderful beef tajine.
As you are cooking dishes you will also taste&eat, you can adjust them to your liking!
Fatima (the host) is a wonderful person, and so is her grandmother Fathima (a skilled cook that will instruct you on how to do things!)

The riad is quaint, charming and clean. The decoration inside is lovely and so are the people. The taxi service was great. You can pre-order food from their menu which is very fresh and tasty.
The location is central in the old medina and 10 minutes from the blue gate. Late at night the alley is a bit empty for a female travelling on your own but otherwise I had a lovely stay. I would definitely recommend it. Thanks to everybody for a lovely stay.

Lovely hotel situated just in the middle of Fez’s medina. It’s a real riad from the 40s, so all the decoration is handmade and it’s beyond beautiful (like the views from the terrace!). The room is huge, the bed is comfy and it has a beautiful Arabic decoration - but what made us fall in love with the place was the service, Mustafá and Souka were kind and welcomed us to the hotel like if it was our home shakram!!

Amazing staff, beautiful riad, location is right at the heart of the old medina. They were very helpful at organizing us throughout our stay. They offer a lot of supplementary services, including very good food. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I were looking for cooking classes in Fes, went to Dar Settash and we have been welcomed by Soukina. She welcomed us with an incredible smile and recommended us the most delicious Moroccan dishes to prepare the day after. It has been a beautiful experience, starting the day going to the market. Staff is incredibly welcoming.. Just amazing! Soukina is beyond special, Leila, Moustafa and Fátima are great! Will come back soon also the view from the terrace is pretty unique, one of the best in Fes!

Even before we arrived in Fes, Fatima was helping us. She was prompt to respond to my WhatsApp messages and helped arrange an airport transfer. Once in Fes, after welcoming us with mint tea, she continued to answer all questions with a smile and direct us towards attractions and restaurants in the city. The Riad itself was stunning from the beautiful tile to the rooftop terrace with panoramic views. Couldn't be happier with our stay. Highly recommend.

This dar was at a good location in the Medina. We felt at home in Dar Settash. The roof top was wonderfull and everything was oké. Soukaina learnt us a view Maroccan words and Fatimas mother cooked well for us. Soukaina and Fatima had arranged our excursions for a good price. Mustafa was very kind and the last day he waked up early to make our breakfast and he brought us to the taxi.

A great location and very accommodating staff. Friendly and helpful. Proactive. Rooms are spacious and impressive. If you're noise sensitive then avoid the ground floor. Food was good

Fatima you have an amazing Riad. Perfect location right in the medina. Fatima and her staff were super lovely and helpful even helping us pick up train tickets for later in our stay in Morocco. Riad was super clean and just so BEAUTIFUL.

This riad is absolutely amazing. First of all the place itself is a restored old real riad, with stunning ornaments all over and a beautiful terrace overlooking the city of Fez.
The staff was super kind, helping us with everything we needed and more. The location is obviously also great, less than a minute to the old city's main street and other major spots in the city. Don't miss out a dinner there. The Couscous was one of our favorites in Morroco.
